Members of the Parish Council visited New Earswick Primary School
on Friday, 27 May to present Commemorative Jubilee Mugs to all the
pupils. Pictured (above) are four Councillors before meeting
with the 215 children who attend the school, to distribute the gifts
in recognition of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
The vast majority of people walking their dogs in New Earswick
are responsible owners, who clean up after their pets. A big thank
you to you all.
Unfortunately a small number of owners still
think someone else will deal with the mess for them. Please be aware
that City of York Enforcement Officers are now visiting problem
areas on a regular basis. Offenders may be prosecuted.
The Defibrillator is located on the external wall at the Doctor's
Surgery at the top of the Folk Hall car park off Hawthorn Terrace.
If you ever ring 999 for assistance for a heart attack, the
operator will know we have a community defibrillator and they will
inform you of this, where it is and the code to release the
defibrillator from the cabinet. The operator will stay on the phone
with you until the ambulance crew arrive. Once the defibrillator is
turned on it will give you verbal instructions on how to use it.
